The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

IDEA is our nation’s special education law. It governs the way that states, school districts, and public agencies provide early intervention, special education and related services to our country's eligible infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities. Title 20 of the United States Code (U.S.C.) is divided into sections: §§1400-1419 concern the education of all students with disabilities, while §§1421-44 deal strictly with infants and toddlers with disabilities.
